The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) is committed in
making every effort to fully observe existing laws and regulations relating to data privacy. As such, and in
compliance with the
Data Privacy Act (DPA) of 2012 , and
its
Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and other issuances of the
National Privacy Commission (NPC), BTr is issuing the
following privacy notice:
In accordance with its mandate, BTr may collect information from data subjects when transacting with the BTr.
In collecting and processing data, BTr adheres to the general privacy principles of transparency, legitimacy
of purpose, and proportionality.
The Personal Information collected will depend on the services a data subject receives from BTr. Generally, this may include the data inputted by the end-user in the risk tolerance calculator, cash flow tracker, portfolio recommender, and portfolio simulator. This information will not be stored nor used for other purposes.
Personal Information and other data obtained may be processed to monitor, analyze, communicate, provide services, carry out transactions, verify identity, and perform other acts as permitted by law.
BTr maintains technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect information or data obtained. BTr uses a variety of IT security technologies and carefully crafted procedures to better protect the personal information of a data subject from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Moreover, BTr has included provision of contingency plans and disaster recovery sites for its critical applications.
This website is created to provide an investment tool for retail investors who are interested in financial
planning. The services offered on the website include a risk tolerance calculator, cash flow tracker,
portfolio recommender, portfolio simulator, and investor education.
The website does not use
cookies or other similar technologies and does not obtain web-traffic data such as the data subject's IP
address, operating system, browser type, date and time of visit, or geolocation.
However, as a
means of communication, the website incorporates a contact form that allows visitors to send feedback to BTr.
The type of data obtained therein only includes the data subject's name and email address.
